| The Mini-Client 2500 includes a mini
version of our
Drive Isolation System used in our storage cases. The Drive
Isolation System suspends the drives in a aluminum
module which absorbs the heat from the drives. The drive module floats on specially designed isolation pads
eliminating noise from vibration.
The standard hard drive
installed is the Seagate Momentus 2.5" 250GB 7200 RPM HDD. For
added storage, we can also install a single or dual Seagate Momentus
2.5" 500GB 5400
RPM HDD or Seagate 3.5" ES.2 1000GB 7200 RPM drive. The 2.5"
drives run quieter and cooler than the 3.5" drive.
NEW! For total silence and
extreme speed, a solid state drive (SSD) is the way to go. SSD
prices have come down a lot lately making them a viable choice for
your system. The SLC type SSD offers the highest performance and
longest life. The MLC type has slower speeds and a shorter life but
at a lower price. To take
advantage of total silence with more storage capacity, connect the system to a separate file
server over the network rather than adding HDD's inside the case.
For maximum reliability, we install SSD's inside the case using
solid brackets as shown in the picture.
Note: The case can hold up to four 2.5" or two 3.5" HDD's
allowing you to easily add more storage space as needed. Brackets
for solid state drives allows up to two 2.5" drives. Solid
